Walking with Little Lambs Ministries and Diaper DistributionJoin Little Lamb's Ministries and other moms to take a walk for health on the CTMC walking trail. Children are welcome, and you will receive free diapers for participating in this event.

The City of San Marcos Texas hosts free and low cost events that are open to all members of the community. Follow the links below to learn more about upcoming special events and opportunities for you and your family to enjoy.
Summer Fun in San MarcosSummer Fun is an 8 week long program (with a one week break between) hosted by the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department for kids ages 7-14 (they can be 6 if they have completed the first grade). The SMCISD school site for 2019 is Goodnight Middle School. Camp runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Breakfast and lunch are provided by SMCISD and one field trip a week is included in camp fees. 2019 Summer field trips are to the Rio Vista Pool, Starplex Movie Theatre, and Sunset Bowling Lanes. San Marcos Library, Free Story TimeChildren are invited to the library for great stories, songs, and fun. Story times are led by librarians and are tailored for early childhood literacy development. Make sure to check out books each week to practice skills learned, and to make reading a fun part of your child’s day. This story time is recommended for caregivers with children ages 0 to 2.
Kyle Public LibraryBuda Public LibraryMeadows Center for the Water and EnvironmentThe Meadows Center's offers low-cost educational programs about the environment—and people’s relationship to the environment. Activities offered at Spring Lake include recreational opportunities and connects children and their families to nature. The Meadows center provides daily glass-bottom boat tours (9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). The first boat goes out 30 minutes after opening and the last boat goes out 30 minutes before closing. All tours last for 30 minutes.
San Marcos Farmers MarketThe San Marcos Farmers Market happens weekly on Tuesday (3pm-6pm, 312 E Hopkins St.) and Saturday (9am-1pm, 155 E San Antonio St).
The Jumpy Place
The Jumpy Place is a low-cost trampoline park with locations in both Kyle and New Braunfels. The Jumpy Place has a no-shoes policy, so remember to pack a pair of socks for anyone who will be entering the building.
McKenna Children's MesueamLocated in New Braunfels, TX, McKenna Children’s Museum is a low-cost learning environment that is bursting with fun. See, touch, smell and taste in an atmosphere specially designed to build and educate healthy young minds.
Landa Park
Landa Park offers picnic facilities under the shade of giant, ancient oak trees. Walk or jog on the parks special trails, or ride a miniature train that chugs around the 51 acre park! Activities at Landa Park include paddle boats, miniature golf, playgrounds, or and nature trails.
